has been stripped of her Miss USA Nevada Crown after "steamy photographs" of the Nevada beauty surfaced on the Internet last week.
Katie Rees, is on the left.Paula Shugart, president of the Miss Universe Organization, said in a statement, "Katie Rees has been relieved of her duties as Miss Nevada USA 2007. First runner-up Helen Salas will assume the title and compete at the 2007 Miss USA Pageant on March 23 in Los Angeles, California."
Rees' lawyer Mario Torres said Rees deserves another chance as was the case with Miss USA, Tara Conner who was given a second chance after making headlines for underage drinking and dating a number of different men. (That slut?)
"Ms. Rees clearly acknowledges that her actions were not appropriate and regrets that she failed to clearly think about the consequences of those actions,"
"We find it inequitable that Ms. Conner was able to retain her crown and that Ms. Rees is not able to do the same."
The photos are five years old, it wasn't something she did a week before or after she won the Miss Nevada Title.
